Getting Back to Work: A Quick Update from McSquared Customs

If you have visited recently or follow along on social media, you may have noticed things have been a little quiet.
I want to be upfront about that.
The past few weeks have been focused on taking care of some unexpected issues at home. Porch repairs, septic work, and a few other things that needed immediate attention. Not the kind of projects you can put off, and not the kind you plan for. They pulled time and focus away from the shop, but they had to come first.
That said, things are stabilizing and I am getting back into the shop with a clear head and renewed focus.
McSquared Customs is not slowing down. If anything, this reset has sharpened my direction. I have several projects in progress, new product ideas lined up, and I am reopening the schedule for custom work.
This is actually a great time to start planning your next piece.
With Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, birthdays, retirements, and other milestones coming up, custom work gives you the opportunity to create something that actually means something. Not just another off-the-shelf item, but something built with intention, designed around the person receiving it.
If you have something in mind, or even just an idea you want to talk through, reach out. A lot of the best pieces start as a simple conversation.
I also plan to start sharing more behind the scenes content again. Design work, builds in progress, and some of the process that goes into each piece. That is something I have been wanting to do more of, and now is the time to get back into it.
I appreciate the patience and support from everyone who stuck around during the quiet stretch. It does not go unnoticed.
Now it is time to get back to work.
