Refund Policy

A legal disclaimer

Effective Date: January 29, 2026

Most products from McSquared Customs are custom, made-to-order pieces built to the specific requirements of each customer. Because of the personalized nature of this work, standard returns and refunds are limited.

Custom and Personalized Orders

Custom items cannot be returned or refunded simply due to a change of mind, preference, or taste.

However, if a completed custom piece does not match the agreed and approved design specifications, we will work with you to make it right.

If an error occurred on our end (for example:

  • incorrect spelling,

  • wrong design element,

  • wrong dimensions compared to the approved proof),

we will, at our discretion:

  • repair,

  • modify, or

  • remake

the piece at no additional cost to you.

In some cases where rework is not possible, a partial or full refund may be offered instead.

Customer Approval Matters

Before production, customers may receive proofs, mockups, or design confirmations.

Once a design is approved and production begins, changes requested by the customer may:

  • not be possible, or

  • require additional charges.

Issues resulting from customer-approved designs (for example, a typo that was present in the approved proof) are not considered errors by McSquared Customs and are not eligible for free refund or remake. We may still offer rework at a discounted rate where feasible.

Natural Material Variations

Wood is a natural material. Variations in:

  • grain pattern,

  • color,

  • knots,

  • and texture

are expected and are not defects or grounds for refund.

Minor differences between on-screen mockups/photos and the finished physical piece due to lighting, stain absorption, or monitor color differences are also not considered defects.

Shipping Damage

If an item arrives damaged in transit:

  1. Contact us within 3 days of delivery at info@mcsquaredcustoms.com

  2. Provide clear photos of the item and the packaging.

We will work with you and the shipping carrier to:

  • repair,

  • replace, or

  • refund

the damaged item as appropriate.

Ready-Made (Non-Custom) Items

If you purchase a ready-made, non-personalized item, you may request a return within 14 days of delivery, provided the item is:

  • unused,

  • in original condition, and

  • returned at the customer’s expense.

Original shipping costs are non-refundable.

Cancellations

Custom orders may be cancelled before production begins.

Once production has started, refunds are generally not available because materials and labor have already been committed. In rare cases, a partial refund may be issued based on the stage of completion.

Every request is reviewed individually. Our goal is always to ensure you receive a piece that matches the approved design and meets the standard of craftsmanship McSquared Customs is known for.
